Seleção are finally ready for the 2018 World Cup. See how Neymar Jr. & Co.’s new Home Shirt looks like.
The shirt bonanza hasn’t stopped yet! Now it’s the Brazilians turn to get a new home shirt for the World Cup. The Seleção are always made favourites when they are playing at the World Cup. This year is no excpetion, and the Unisport HQ have high expectations to Brazil. A national team who almost can cover two starting line-ups on all positions!
“We are born like this. With our heart beating like a drum. As if life were a never-ending samba”
These lines in the Brazilian manifesto pretty much sums up what the Brazilian national team is all about. Who hasn’t dreamt about dribbling or playing Samba-football when being a young kid? This national team might have the best football heritage throughout time. With players such as Pelé, Romário, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and now Neymar Jr., you always find a player that plays the Brazilian way of football, and we are more that certain that this will go on for years ahead.
The traditional Brazilian Home Shirt still has its well-known yellow base and with the green details on the Swoosh and collar. Furthermore, the 5-stars above the crest are still visible, and still indicates the 5 times they have won the World Cup, with the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan being the latest.
The Brazil Home Shirt is inspired by the 2018 Nike’s Aeroswift template. Giving the shirt a more athletic fit, and the most optimal conditions to play in. Furthermore, green and blue stripes run down on then neck, which adds more details to a plain and simple shirt. The details in the neck connects the shirt with the blue shorts that they will use as the Home Kit, together with the white socks. Looking inside the shirt, you can spot the Seleção pride crest as an extra detail.
