FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 match schedule and groups | A complete overview of the WWC tournament

The FIFA Women’s World Cup match schedule is yet again set as the tournament prepares to kick-off in New Zealand and Australia. 32 teams are competing across 64 matches - who will lift the trophy and earn the right to call themself ‘World Champions’?.

The Women’s World Cup 2023 format

For the first time ever the FIFA Women’s World Cup will be held in two countries - New Zealand and Australia. This year's tournament is the biggest WWC in history with 32 teams competing to become the World Champions - 8 more teams than the previous tournament. The expansion of the tournament has also resulted in additional two groups - Group G and H. With two additional groups, only the top-two teams in each group will qualify for the round of 16.

  • Group stage: July 20 - August 3
  • Round of 16: August 5-8
  • Quarterfinals: August 11-12
  • Semifinals: August 15-16
  • Third-place playoff:: August 19
