Easter Boot spots: Nike and adidas own the international break!
We have been enjoying our Easter, so didn’t bring you a boot spot round-up yesterday, but now we are back refreshed and raring to go! Let’s do it!
Paul Pogba (France) - adidas ACE 16+ PureControl Black/Gold Limited Edition & Shock Blue/Semi Solar Slime
The ultimate boss has joined adidas and they are really letting him express himself with his new boots. I really, really like the blue adidas ACE 16+ PureControl, but for me nothing compares to that Limited Edition black/gold “Pogboom”-boot. Looking just as fresh as the France away-shirt, which I’m running out of superlatives to describe too.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) - Nike Mercurial Superfly IV CR7 Quinhentos
It was a long time coming, but CR7 has finally made the move to his Quinhentos colourway, which celebrates his 500th career goal. To put into perspective just how long ago they were presented, he has added 32 goals to that tally since. They suit the Portugal kit very well, so that might be why Roro decided to wait for an international break to crack them out.
Ross Barkley, Harry Kane & Robert Lewandowski (England & Poland) - Nike Hypervenom Radiant Reveal custom
You might have heard some rumours about the old and much loved Hypervenom upper making a return and that is looking more and more likely, as many professional players start getting custom versions. Our lips are sealed on the future and this is just merely us observing that something is definitely up. What do you hope happens?
Thomas Müller (Germany) - adidas X 15.1 Leather
Thomas Müller has been very quick to break in and show off the newest colourway of the adidas X 15.1, which was only launched exactly one week ago today. Definitely one of the best looking X 15.1 boots and probably one of the last ones too, as a 2016 update must be very close. Thomas Müller as always has gone for the leather version, which just adds another element of style to the crisp white upper.
Jamie Vardy (England) - Nike Hypervenom Phantom Camo Pack
Yesterday morning Nike unveiled their newest Pack and it looks like Jamie Vardy will be one of the players pulling on the Limited Edition boots in action. He has been training in them since the Germany game, so it will interesting to see if he rocks them in tonight's game against Holland.
Lukas Podolski (Germany) - adidas ACE 16.1 Primeknit
A bit of a change of boot silo for Lukas Podolski, who has gone from chaos and the X 15.1 to control and the ACE 16.1 Primeknit. Might be getting a little older and changing his playstyle up a little bit, either that, or maybe he just likes the blue colour better. Will be interesting to follow up on in the next few games.
