The shoe is designed with the latest version of the Nike Free 3.0 sole, that allows you feet to move natural in all directions. The Phylite middle sole provides great shock absorbing to increase comfort, while keeping the weight low. The Nike Free Concept originates in Stanford, where Nike looked into the training methods of the very successful athletes there and found out they trained barefoot. 3 of Nike's most esteemed and creative innovators went to work on this basis and in 2002 they began work on the first Nike Free by mapping the foots bio mechanics. 8 years later the first Nike Free went on sale and the result was a shoe that "understood" your feet, how they land, where the pressure is applied.
