Nike Free Hypervenom II - the ultimate mix of football and fashion The shoe combines Nike's well known Chukka silhouette with the upper from Nike's Hypervenom and the classic Nike Free sole. The upper on the shoe, is made from two separate parts - combined to ensure you are given the highest possible level of comfort. With an upper made from mesh material, you get great comfort and low weight. The mesh has been reinforced around the middle foot and the heel, to give extra durability. The shoes split-layer upper, is most evident around the entry. Here the shoe has an extra piece of a textile. This piece covers the tongue, and goes higher than the wrist to increase the protection of the foot. The extra layer also provides extra protection. Nike Free Hypervenom II is designed with the extremely flexible Nike Free sole, that allows your feet to flex more naturally. The Phylon middle sole adds to shock absorption, while the classic Waffle outersole with its Free flex grooves adds extra strength. The Nike Free Concept originates in Stanford, where Nike looked into the training methods of the very successful athletes there and found out they trained barefoot. 3 of Nike's most esteemed and creative innovators went to work on this basis and in 2002 they began work on the first Nike Free by mapping the foots bio mechanics. 8 years later the first Nike Free went on sale and the result was a shoe that "understood" your feet, how they land, where the pressure is applied. It was an unconventional shoe, but sparked the interest of many around the world.
