Since the first Air Max 1 hit the shelf's back in 1987, the sneaker world has never been itself again. The Air Max 1 revolutionised the market and the Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit builds onto this landmark heritage. This is the first time ever that Nike combines their Air Max sneakers with their Flyknit material. This combination secures you a ultra light shoe. The shoe is still made with a full length foam sole and the injected Air unit in the heel. The foam material, which normally works as a midsole, has been updated so it is strong and durable, so the midsole also works as an outsole now. This innovation drastically reduces the weight of the shoe. Furthermore, the upper is made from Nike's Flyknit material, which results in a shoe that is almost as light as a feather. The shoes upper also incorporates Nike's zone ventilation, which makes the Flyknit upper more open in the places you need ventilation the most, and more closed in the areas where you need extra durability. The wreath of the shoe is made from a seamless material which improves the durability. As an extra detail, the wreath and the Nike logo is made with a reflective finish, which makes the shoe more visible in situation with low light. Nike's revolutionary Air-Sole unit became a part of Nike footwear around the late 70's. In 1987 Nike Air Max with visible air in the heel had their debut. Now the user could not only feel the Air-Sole comfort, they could actually see it. And just a year later the next generation of Nike Air Max 90 became a hit with athletes, as well as, collectors, by offering striking colour combinations, minimal weight and strong cushioning.
