Manchester United home-shirt worn during the 1998/99 season. Manchester United had an unprecedented season in 1998/99. They the won the Premier League, just one point ahead of their rivals Arsenal, and were crowned FA Cup champions, after beating Newcastle 2-0. But what most United supporters probably remember the 1998/99 season for, was the Champions League final against Bayern Munich. The final was played in front of a capacity crowd at the Camp Nou in Barcelona, and a whopping 40.000 English fans had made the journey there. The 91.000 fans at the Camp Nou witnessed a game for the ages. Bayern Munich were ahead until the 85th minute of the game, but two substitutions turned out to flip the game entirely on its head. Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjær were both subbed on and both ended up scoring in "Fergie Time", meaning Manchester United won the game 2-1. Peter Schmeichel could therefore lift the 'big eared' trophy and finish his glorious United career, by winning "The Treble". The shirt is an official retro shirt, which is made by the English specialists Score Draw. The shirt has the club logo, as well as sponsor printing and is made from 100% polyester.
