Djurgårdens IF is an integral part of Swedish football, since its establishment in 1899. Järnkaminerna as the club also called, has since 2013 played their home games at Tele2 Arena which is located in central Stockholm. The Djurgårdens shirt is blue striped in two shades, with the club logo made up of yellow, red, blue and gold. The latter color may fit particularly well at a club that has won 11 national championships and a handful cup titles
.Djurgårdens's golden era was probably just after the turn of the millennium, with players like Kim Källström and Andreas Isaksson. During this period it was virtually as if Järnkaminerna permanently claimed ownership of the Championship title. The last few years have been lesser kind to the clubs fans dressed in Djurgårdens football jersey. Maybe it's time for a new golden era.
