Nike is now ready to present the 6th and penultimate chapter of the story of Cristiano Ronaldo - named “Born Leader”, focusing on Ronaldo's role as team captain on the Portuguese national team. Ronaldo made his debut for Portugal on the 6th February 2007, the day after his 22nd birthday. With every cap for the national team, Ronaldo makes an even bigger mark on football history, as the captain with the most caps. Even when being injured and unable to perform on the pitch, he has the ability to push his fellow countrymen forward to glory - best shown by his on/off pitch performance during the final at the 2016 European Championship, which Portugal won. Nike has decided that CR7 chapter 6’s colours should be inspired by the Portuguese legacy as a maritime nation, along the African and South American coasts - being reflected in the azure blue. The C representing the captain, is shown encapsulated by an armillary sphere - an astronomical device. The track suit is made of Nike's well-known Dri-FIT material, which gives good airflow, so you always feel comfortable during your training. The shirt is made with a special design around the elbows, which gives increased movability, so you have no restrictions during your training. Furthermore there is a full zip, which can be drawn all the way up above the chin. The trousers are made with a tight fit, which ensures you can move naturally when you train.
