Cristiano Ronaldo, also known as CR7, is a living legend and one of best the football players ever! With his many records, trophies, personal awards and impressive career, then it can easily be forgotten, where it all started. The Portuguese club Sporting CP, is the club where Cristiano had his professional debut in the beautiful game. In just one season, he managed to develop so drastically, that he from the U16s moved up through the ranks on the U17s, U18s to the B-squad, until he ended up on the first team, which played in the best Portuguese league, Primeira Liga. On the 7th of October 2002, at an age of only 17 years old, he debuted as a professionel and at the same time scored his first and second professionel career goal, against Moreirense. Rumor has it, that the Manchester United players were so impressed with abilities of the young Portuguese, that after the game they asked their manager; Sir Alex Ferguson, to sign him immediately. Nonetheless, the English giants signed him shortly after, which made him the first Portuguese player in the club's history - sending his career off towards a place in the history books.
