Pantofola d'Oro Lazzarini Kangaroo Pantofola d'Oro is a family owned Italian shoemaker company, founded in 1886 in the small Italian town, Ascoli Piceno. Originally named 'Calzaturificio Lazzarini' which later was changed when the legendary Wales footballer, John Charles, by many is known to be one of the best all-round footballers ever created in the UK, tried on the boots. Before trying on the boots he played for Juventus and through his teammates he had heard about this Italian brand making boots with viscious craftmanship and immense quality. The day came where John Charles finally could try on the boots and right away he bursted out: "Questa non è una scarpa, è una pantofola. Una Pantofola d'Oro!". Translated to English meaning: "This is not a shoe, this is a morning slipper. A golden morning slipper!". A statement making such a great impact to the Lazzarini family that they decided to change the name to Pantofola d'Oro. The story is legendary and a pedigree of star players hide behind Pantofola d'Oro - and to this day it is still top shelf craftmanship. Legendary name The boot is named after the Lazzarini family who are the owners and founders of Pantofola d'Oro. Just as the boots where in 1886, these boots are carefully hand made with diligence which leaves nothing to coincidences. It is a boot with timeless design and a great heritage to live up to. Flexible kangaroo leather upper part Lazzarini has a flexibel upper part in some of the smoothest kangaroo leather available. The flexible leather adapts perfectly to the form of the foot, so you will get a fit that feels as if they were custommade to your foot. You will also get a natural feeling with the ball and exceptional comfort. Middle and front part of the boot is made with minimum stings which gives a cleaner surface with reduced water intake. Outersole and stud-system are developed to give the best comfort, protection and stability. A natural flexion in the outersole gives a stabil midlle and a resilient front, resulting in great set off.
