In 1994 adidas launched the Predator, a boot silo that would show to become one of the most iconic and beloved to date. Therefore, 2014 also marks the 20 year anniversary for the rather special boot. We have now seen 14 generations of the Predator, and one has just been more iconic than the other. The anniversary is celebrated with 14 versions of the new Predator Instinct, including 3 boots that are a part of the new Revenge Pack. To celebrate the very first Predator, you can now get your hands on a remake of the Predator 1994. It is a limited edition and will only be available in a very limited quantity across the globe. The adidas Predator 1994 was the first boot in the Predator silo that the German brand launched, and it became a boot that broke with the norm and the classic virtues that people had become used to in relation to football boots. The Predator 1994 was still made of comfortable kangaroo leather, but the upper was covered with aggressive rubber zones, which helped in creating friction between boot and ball. On the sole, adidas had incorporated a torsion bar in order to distribute the pressure to each stud, and hereby provide a more stable and even pressure across your foot. The boot, which was said to be “100% legal, 0% fair”, was well received by, among others, Paul Gascoigne and Stefan Effenberg, who both wore the Predator. The new remake has been given the same nice look as the old Predator 1994. The boot comes with the same classic black/red/white colour combination, as well as 'die drei Streifen' on the side of the boot. The little details from the original have also been implemented on the new version. Among other things, the boot is equipped with the same thick tongue, as well as the crocodile-skin like details on the upper. Whereas the look is recognisable, the new version of the Predator 1994 has however been made with new and innovative technology.
