In September, we hit a whopping 1 million members, and to celebrate, we rolled out a week of epic competitions. One of the prizes was like a football fan's ultimate dream – a trip to Manchester City with PUMA!
And guess who won it? Our Norwegian buddies, Solveig and her football-crazy 11-year-old son, Henrik. Now, Solveig's whole family is all about football, so winning this trip was like winning the jackpot. But hold up, Unisport could only fly two members, so yeah, the rest of the fam was kinda jelly. Totally get it, right? So, off we went, flying to Manchester on a Friday night, ready to hit the stadium vibes the next morning. Henrik was so pumped; it was like waking up on Christmas morning.
After a bomb breakfast, we strolled to Manchester City, taking in the industrial city vibes. First stop – the Manchester City shop! Merch heaven, peeps! And oh, we laid eyes on the Champions League trophy, the one City bagged after schooling Inter at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Turkey. Major flex!
At the stadium, the PUMA team welcomed us with open arms. From the lobby, we caught the City squad strutting into the stadium. And just before the big match, Henrik's dream went next level – we were escorted to the pitch! Picture this: two teams, epic warm-up, and us soaking it all in. It was like standing in the middle of football heaven. Eyes on Erling Haaland, Kyle Walker, Ederson, and Oscar Bobb – heroes in the flesh!
Back at the PUMA loge, we had the best seats in the house. The match was nuts! Liverpool breaking City's 23-match winning streak at the Etihad – who saw that coming? Henrik lost it when Haaland smashed in his 50th Premier League goal. Pure football magic! City pushed hard for a winner, but it ended 1-1. Still, what a ride!
Post-match, we got to chill with Kyle Walker, one of Henrik's football idols. This dude's been tearing it up, helping City bag our third consecutive Premier League title. And guess what? He even captained City to our first UEFA Super Cup. Big moves! Walker's here to stay, signing a fresh contract until 2026. Legend alert!
After soaking in all that football goodness, we headed home to catch some Zs. But wait, we had a sweet surprise for Henrik the next morning. A little present and bam! Open it up, and it's signed shirts from Walker, Ederson, Grealish, and Akanji. Could it get any better? Weekend complete!
