Liverpool away shirt 2021/22 - is made in a classy design
Nike surely knows how to put a football shirt together. The new away shirt for Liverpool is classy and with a nice story behind
Back in May, Nike launched the new Liverpool home shirt for the upcoming 2021/22. A splendid shirt with a nice tribute to the club’s history and crest. Now it’s time to see what The Reds will wear when they are playing away from their beloved Anfield Road.
We have seen some interesting colourways on the Liverpool away shirt in recent years. Some of them have been more or less successful and good looking if you ask us. But this year it seems like Nike really hit it with a great design! The Liverpool away shirt will stand out with its stone coloured base, green collar and orange/crimson details. So what’s the story behind this design?
The city of Liverpool has a skyline with one particular symbol. Three iconic buildings which have become symbolic of Liverpool’s international prestige. They are called ‘The Three Graces’. The away shirt draws inspiration from these buildings and what they represent to the inhabitants of the city. The stone colour is a tribute to the hard working nature of Scousers - people from the Liverpool area - but it’s also a way to show how Liverpool and the football club have got a status of an increasingly dominant world power.
The colour details and stripes on the collar are also a reference and a nod back to the away shirt from the 1996/97 season - which was also a stone coloured shirt.
This shirt will surely be popular among Liverpool fans and will be seen on streets and stadiums all around the world. If you want to be a part of this, Unisport is the right place to be!
