With the new Tiempo Legends Premier Pack, The Tiempo and Premier merge in order to go back to the roots. The name 'Premier' was in 2005 removed from the Tiempo Premier collection, where after the Tiempo would carry on the legacy. Since then, the Premier has been brought back to life, as it in 2013 launched with its own collection. With the four new colourways for the Premier, the iconic boot has found inspiration from some of the seminal moments in the history of the Tiempo Premier. Nike have fused the classic construction of the Premier with legendary Tiempo colourways, and the result is not only nostalgic, it is also very successful. The Nike Tiempo Premier football boot was launched back in 1994, before the World Cup in the USA. It was a simple boot, inspired by 'The Nike' boot from 1971, which was Nike's first ever boot with the iconic Swoosh on the side. The idea with the Tiempo Premier boot was to provide the players with unmatched comfort and lush touch on the ball, hereby competing with similar popular models. Nike were very successful with their introduction of the Tiempo Premier, and in the World Cup final in the US between Italy and Brazil, no less than ten players on the pitch were wearing a pair of the Nike Tiempo Premier. Since then, the Premier has been launched as an independent boot on two occasions. The first launch in May 2013 was a tribute both to 'The Nike' boot from 1971 and the Tiempo boot from 1994. At the second launch in 2013, the boot celebrated the three nations that are sponsored by Nike and who have all taken home the gold at a World Cup; Brazil, England and France. If its not clear yet, how legendary the Tiempo Premier boot is, then we can just take a look at some of the players who have worn the boot. Paolo Maldini, Romario, Cafu, Ronaldo, Bebeto, Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Andrea Pirlo and Carlos Tevez. Now it's your turn to write your name into the history books, with a pair of the boots that have been used by some of the greatest players through time. On the forefoot the upper is made of extremely soft and supple kangaroo leather, and on the midfoot and heel, Nike have used the same goat leather that we have also seen them use on their street shoe, the Lunargato II. It provides an incredible fit right away, and after a very short breaking in period, the leather will shape itself according to your foot, resulting in even higher comfort levels. In addition, the soft leather also provides a very natural touch on the ball, something that we believe a lot of people will applaud. The Nike Premier sits on the same last as they used for the Hypervenom, which is Nike's most anatomically correct last yet. It places your foot close to the ground and the ball to improve your touch. The natural flex from the outsole provides as stable midfoot and a springy forefoot, hereby improving your immediate acceleration. The stud configuration is also very classic with conical studs and a few blades, that provide a nice pitch grip on various surfaces. The boot is made over Nike's brand new X1 last, which takes departure in the same anatomical analyses that are used for the Hypervenom - where the last is called X1.1. The Nike Premier is to be found in the same football boot segment as the Adidas Copa Mundial and the Puma King, and targets the player who is looking for a classic and highly comfortable boot. Weight: 245 grams. This FG boot is made for firm ground surfaces such as natural grass. But suitable on AG as well.
